Blowing dust off of the painting

Question about the mic.

I have the original DS (I don't play a lot of hand-held games, so I never upgraded) and no matter what I do w/the mic, I cannot blow the dust off of the painting. I'm not sure if I have a faulty mic, or if it's always this difficult. I've tried everything from my breath to fans to hair dryers.

Any tips?

You have to blow really, really hard.

Hmm. I've already tried blowing until my ears popped and I got light headed. Fans and hair dryers haven't worked either. That's why I'm kind of wondering if I have a screwed up mic.

I've heard people say the DS mic is really awful. If that's true, was it improved upon for the DS Lite at all?

I never had issues with it on my DS phat, so my guess yours is just broken.

As for whether or the Lite improves on it, idk. >_>

I guess I'll try it on my Dad's DS next time I visit him. I hope it works there b/c I'm not about to buy another DS to finish a $7 game.

Thanks for the help anyway!
