Oh yea, I did like Ecclessia a lot, especially the final big area, bonus stuff etc, everything about it was great, loved shanoa and her 2d hawtness, 2nd best 2d sprite after alucard imo.

Only one drawback i felt in that game was that, i wish it was longer and the last area been bigger, more secrets, more stuff, etc etc.

I guess these games are just never long enough for my liking.

Symphony is overrated.

Cool game, but it's didn't age THAT well. That inverted castle with the same enemies/music for over half of it was annoying too.

Other: Castlevania

With Bloodlines as a very close second. Followed by Belmont's Revenge, then CotM.

I don't know why the hell Harmony of Dissonance is on there instead of III, IV, or hell, even Harmony of Despair. I don't think anyone in their right mind would vote for it.

I agree that Symphony of the Night is overrated.

Foggy on the names. Didn't like the GBA Castlevanias because of the powering up constantly.

The PSP Castlevania remake was a great game.

Castlevania 1 and 3 for NES to me are the best one's but I would say Castlevania 3 is the best CV by far.

I have the DS castlevanias (don't ask how I got them haha) and so far I prefer the other 3 I mentioned.

(2 on NES and the PSP remake)

Whaaat, more people didn't vote for Rondo of Blood? Well, it IS bloody difficucut to get ones hands on in the first place. It was really thrilling. CVIII was also fantastic with the characters changes. SoTN is still tied for my favorite MetroidVania along with Portrait of Ruin.

all 3 of the ds ones are top notch and the peak of the series imo.. sotn was the start of everything but dawn of sorrow perfected it.. and portrait of ruin/ecclesia bring new tricks to the table

My top 3 would be:

1. Aria
2. Portrait
3. Rondo

Dawn of Sorrow would've been the best, if it weren't for those annoying magic seals and the ridiculously low drop rates of souls.... still an awesome game, though.

Symphony was good.... although, Alucard gets broken way too early in the game removing all the challenge. Then there's...... Inverted Castle.
