well ,how long did it take you to hatch a shiny pokemon from an egg?or did you soft reset?which is better?and how long did it take you to soft reset or how many times did it take you to soft reset for a shiny hatched pokemon......

Soft resetting does nothing to eggs. The stats are determined when the egg is laid, or when you get it, I forget which. I've never hatched a shiny, but I did get one through chaining.
You have no time to read this sig, as Link has just grabbed a Smash Ball.

Got one quite quickly, actually, but it's all luck. You have the same chance of getting a shiny from an egg as you do finding a wild (non-Chained) shiny. Mine happened to be a Riolu. ^_^

the only Shiny i hatched in my Pearl game was my Misdreavus. i was IV breeding and aiming for Timid nature( mother was holding an Everstone) and i eventually hatched a Shiny Misdreavus with a Mild nature which i've kept since still UT. In Emerald i hatched a Shiny Pichu with Volt Tackle and with a Calm nature.

Go to pokedex.
The amount of time to hatch a egg, is an amount of steps.
Find your pokemon there and look for the "time to hatch"
The step counter is a really great help in this.
English is my second language. Sorry for the grammar.

does the amount of steps for a particular pokemon to hatch really differ in getting a shiny?i mean say maril hatches at the step of approximately 2.500 steps with flame body,so what does it mean then?could you elaberate more please...

well when im just breeding and hatching eggs, i just put on some good music and have something interesting on the TV. and i decided to not aim for a shiny, im focused on obtaining good IV's. if it happens to be a hatched Shiny, great! but how many eggs? there is no definite count, just random luck. also IMO not all Shinys look great.....i mean personally my misdreavus doesn't look great in yellow but it is a keeper i guess......
