I own diamond, but I also have a rom of diamond and pearl. Lets say I trade between my real copy and a rom, could it mess up my game at all? I really don't want to go through the game all over again, and I don't want to lose my darkrai and manaphy I got from events.

As far as I know, you can't trade at all using a ROM.

But hell, I may be wrong.

Depends if your rom is on the PC or a R4/M3 etc.

If its PC based, then no, but if its on a game card then yes you can trade

It shouldn't mess up your game, unless you have a bad dump or something.
