My bad; I only tamed tribal creatures as a Pacifist Vegetarian, I guess I missed all the benefits.

great information.

one correction tho..
and spice varies from planet to planet

in my current game my first ally has two planets in one system and they pay very very different prices for different types of spice.

i found a post on the value of different color spices which i find very helpful, but i'll give credit to the person who posted the list i found:

Sorted in order of base spice price:

purple = 975
pink = 749
green = 675
blue = 349
yellow = 300
red = 225

I've seen purple for around 75k (75x base price). Red I rarely see for 3375 (15x), and I don't know if it can go higher.

but i'll add, i have sold red spice for over 11,000 each, but i think only once.

Am i the only one that finds it odd that there were cars over 20 years ago that got more then 50 mpg, and now car companies brag about 30 mpg?

I don't know if this was mentioned yet but when attacking a planet, get in really close to cities you want to bomb. The bombs will be more accurate and do more damage. At least I think they do more damage. You can take the cities out a lot faster this way.

In paintbrush mode, try pressing the 1 and 2 buttons (used in conjunction with ctrl). Also try the 3, 4 and 5 buttons (used in conjunction with alt). These are for selective paint brushing, when you press the numbers, text will popup to tell you what they do.

To explain this a bit further.

Ctrl allows you to paint entire sections at once. If you press 1 and use ctrl to paint sections, you will only paint all specific models (i.e. all windows of a certain type). If you press 2 and use ctrl to paint sections, you will paint all similar models (i.e. all windows).

Alt is the eydropper and is used to pick up colours and textures. This is the default.
If you press 3, you change it so that the eyedropper only picks up texture.
If you press 4, you change it so that the eyedropper only picks up colour.
If you press 5, you return it back to the default such that the eyedropper will pick up both texture and colour.

(I may have gotten the numbers the wrong way around).

Applied the tip about Painting the light bulb a more purpley colour to get lavender, but not sure it it improves it.

This is pretty minor but:

Space Stage:

Pressing x and spacebar zooms in and out. Much better than rolling the mouse-wheel.
