k as much as i absolutely loved this game, i must say that its extremely annoying that these are random (topic). At first i thought you had to constantly use skills and magic to increaes the levels, then i read on an older post that it was random, THEN i actually read on another post that it had to do with the amount of EXP the character has??? Has anyone actually come to a conclusion about these?? Im pretty sure its random, since the EXP assumption clearly didnt makes sense with my example below.

Honestly ive been following the walkthrough on this guide (Aardwolf_zy) and i just compared my levels to his/hers:

Aardwold_zy's stats at level 63 were:

Yuki Level 63
Magic Lv 12
Skill Lv 15
Special Lv 14

Ulf Level 63
Magic Lv 11
Skill Lv 14
Special Lv 15

Alfina Level 63
Magic Lv 14
Skill Lv 13
Special Lv 13

Dahna Level 63
Magic Lv 14
Skill Lv 12
Special Lv 11

My stats at level 63 are:

those are some pretty significant differences, specifically the magic level and skill levels. Personally if feel that the randomness of this is stupid..............just my opinion

It's not random, The skill, Magic and Special level need determined amount of Expert EXP to level up.

1 = 0
2 = 100
3 = 300
4 = 600
5 = 1000
6 = 1500
7 = 2100
8 = 2800
9 = 3600
10 = 4500
11 = 5500
12 = 6600
13 = 7800
14 = 9100
15 = 10500

Each action that one character make in battle gives that character a certain amount of Expert EXP. based on that character style, however the Expert EXP is only counted if you finish the battle and each time you win a battle you get 8 Expert Exp for each character alive, Miranda nad Alonso gets only 4 points each. If you flee you get no EXP.

Yuki

Combo = Skill + 4
Critical = Special + 2
Moves = Special + 3
Magic = Magic + 1
Item = Magic + 2
Defend = Skill + 1
Win Battle = All three + 8


Alfina

Combo = Skill + 2
Critical = Special + 1
Moves = Special + 1
Magic = Magic +3
Item = Magic + 2
Defend = Skill + 1
Win Battle = All three + 8


Ulf

Combo = Skill + 2
Critical = Special +2
Moves = Special + 4
Magic = Magic + 1
Item = Magic + 2
Defend = Skill + 1
Win Battle = All three + 8


Dahna

Combo = Skill + 1
Critical = Special + 1
Moves = Special + 2
Magic = Magic + 4
Item = Magic + 2
Defend = Skill + 1

I won't post the max level to each character, because it's easy to figure out just keep in mind that the highest level is 15. Character max level are determined by their style, You can reach level 15 Skill with Yuki, but not with Dahna, etc...

WOW that is EXACTLY what i was looking for, thanks RED_ODA :)

too bad there isnt a counter in the game to show you how much each character has >_<

so if i NEVER use magic or items with a character, then it will takes considerably longer for his magic expert status to level up, since they would ONLY be receiving 8 skill points per battle won
