Why does this game make my Xbox 360 make so much noise?

#1LazerLXXVII2Posted 1/23/2009 10:16:23 PM
Whenever i play this game, my 360 is always grinding, reading the disc, making a bunch of excessive noise that it doesnt make with any other game. Does anyone know why this is, and if this is a problem?

2 things.
1. It is because of all the data and graphics that it must be run vigorusly.
2. How do you install to the HD? I have heard that people are doing it but I dont know how.

And yet, games that both look better and have a HELL of a lot more to stream, being that they have no load screens and worlds far more complex than this game as a whole, don't grind and scream...

If you install it to your HD, doesnt it like reduce the graphics and increase the load times or something?

Plus i dont even know if i have enough space lol.

And who said i was complaining, i was just wondering if this game is known for causing 360s to crash, because the noise was crazy. No other game has sounded like that.

Actually, downloading Fable 2 to your HDD actually speeds up load times and gets rid of some of the lagging in the menus. A lot of games for the Xbox 360 experience faster load times(not by a huge amount but it's faster). Though there are some games that don't fair so well by on the HDD. Halo 3 being one of the because of the way the Xbox 360 access the disc and such so Halo 3 runs horrible on the HDD. But usually, if you install it on the HDD, you're most likely going to experience faster load times.

As to how to do it:

1)Go to Game Library from the My Xbox wheel.

2)From here, you'll see a list of Arcade games and whatever Xbox 360 game is in the disc tray(which Fable 2 should be in the list). Click on Fable 2 and you'll see a list of options. One will say install to HDD(I believe it says that... I'm not in proximity of my 360 as of now). It will download it to the HDD(it's about 6GB roughly). Make sure you have enough space. The download time is about 5-6 minutes. Not really long.
