How do you use it. I have it turning an aqua color but I dont think its working. I have tryied reading walk throughs and they make no sense. THe only option i have when it turns aqua is to put away the is no other option.

Here is the best way that i can explain on how to use the metal detector.

1.] Have your Sim or the one who has this aspiration go pick it up.

2.] Have them walk around the yard or lot; which ever the case maybe and or in the house.

3.] Watch them as they walk around and if you notice that the ring that is glowing begins to vibrate a little faster. This means that you are very close to an object.

If you turn a different direction and it barely vibrates; this means you are going the wrong way and away from the object.

The closer you get to an object, the more faster the glowing ring will vibrate. Once the metal detector's glowing ring vibrates really fast and it may bend down to the ground; check the metal detectors options and it should say, ''Dig''.

Once it says 'dig' in the options you have found something and so you must highlight that and click on that to get them to dig the object up.
If at anytime you click on it and find that it says put away; or whatever it may say outside of dig; just cancel the check list.

Anyways, once you click on the dig, they will automatically begin to dig the object up. If it is not what you wanted or you want to see what else they find; you can continue to use it or click once more on the metal detector and highlight the option to put it away.

When i used the meal detector i didnt know what i was doin and like they just said it starts to vibrate and go blue ad the rings get bigger . Then i pressed x and it sad dg so i did and the first time i did it i found a zombie hand that fills your ballder need then the second time round i dug up a bottle cap lol ! its class x Its sad you cant have babies though x :( x x x

Okay.... I'll try explaining this my way...

When you first pick up your METAL DETECTOR, the MD will cast a light upon the ground. Wherever you walk, you hold the MD in your hand, and the light may change colour, depending on how close you are to your treasure. Usually the treasure is someplace very grassy, i.e. the Backyard.

1) If the colour of the light is PURPLE, then you are 'Cold'. Meaning that you are not near the treasure.

2) If the colour of the light is AQUA (like yours) it means that you are getting closer. Try walking around in tight circles or whatnot, because the treasure is there.

3) If you find the location of the treasure, or you are right beside it, the light will be AQUA with a RING OF WHITE AROUND it. Then just press X to bring up the little menu, and select Dig.

Careful though... when you get AQUA colour, if you don't find the treasure quickly it'll literally go away... and you'll have to find it some other time. Same with when you get a ring of white around it. Bottom line: Find your treasures quickly once you get close.
