Is it worth it to buy a Roku box if I have a 360?

I was looking at this deal http://www.theverge.com/2012/6/3/3060894/good-deal-roku-hd-six-months-of-hulu-plus for when I go to school.

But do I really need a roku box since my 360 streams quite a bit of content. Can anyone who has both chime on this?

Why do you want a Roku? Those are for people who lack a device that streams Netflix or Hulu or whatever else to their TV. You have an Xbox 360, so that's taken care of. You won't get 6 months of Hulu Plus free, but you still have access to the Hulu app and won't waste $80.

I think it does more than just hulu or netflix, I was mainly trying to see if there was tons of overlap between the two

there are some other options you can look into, like boxee

xbox is great but paying twice to use something other devices let you use for free is crap

Xbox Live is needed to stream netflix and hulu which you already pay for...

I have 2 Roku LT devices and a 360 and the Roku device is 20x faster and clearer than the 360 app. Take into mind the Roku is design to be a streaming media player, the 360 is a 7 year old device that was originally design to just play online games.

Good god, you people serious? Microsoft is selling the hell out of their device as a streaming entertainment box. I've used the newest Roku and the UI is no better than the crappy UI on Xbox. Microsoft just added an Amazon Instant Video app, an HBO GO app... basically it's all complete overlap. Save yourself $80, or listen to NakedSnake and waste it for a supposedly-better UI (it's not).

In the fall it won't be based on what we just saw from the conference but right now yes, it is worth it. I use Roku on my bedroom TV to stream Rev 3, Twit, ESPN podcasts, The Onion, and GiantBomb - none of which are on 360 currently.

I rarely even use it for Netflix since every other device in my house streams it already.
