"Has anyone experienced this problem before? Every time I try to close the disc tray, it ends up popping back out. This has never happened to my 360 before today. Any solutions?"
Hmm you should see a doctor about that. Maybe the pills your on are messed up. It should pop up then go away after a certain amount of time. My solution would be to avoid getting excited! ^.^ --- GFAQS - Land where your opinion is what everyone else says it is.

Send it to Microsoft and pay 100 dollars to have it fixed. Or buy a slim so you don't have to deal with a crappy tray. --- 360 - The Game 925 PSN - TheGame925

.. are you pushing near the icon?
If you didn't know that sends the tray out if it's in and vice versa. --- Dark sorcerer, king of dark intentions, sensual pleasures pirate, constant hankering for honey, sprinkly toes thrillseeker extraordinaire.

On my old phat Xbox360, I have to push the eject-button hundreds of times before it finally opens.
I guess it got ejection-disfunction because of it's age. --- http://gifsoup.com/webroot/animatedgifs6/2093287_o.gif Speedrunnin' through life since 1991.

When I bought my new Slim the disc tray popped open right when I powered it on the first time, after a couple of tries trying to get it to stay closed I liked online and its a problem that usually takes time to occur. There are some videos online about how to fix it but since mine was brand new I returned it and got another one. Before I returned it I looked inside of the disc tray and one of the gears was all chipped up and that was the reasoning behind my problem.
Soooooooooooooo...look inside the disc tray opening and check some videos out online or...................................send it to MS to get it fixed for the $100. --- "You know what they say, all toasters toast toast."- Mario http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NQGA6eZmZyg

Why is everybody saying it will cost $100 for MS to fix it?
Nowhere did the TC ever say his system was out of warranty.
It is only going to cost him if his warranty has expired. --- R.I.P. Eve English (Feb. 12, 1968 - Oct. 13, 2010) Momma Eve, you will be missed.
