What are some of the high profile game myths of this gen?

#1LinkIsSpartanPosted 7/7/2011 2:04:42 AM
I was watching GT's series Pop Fiction and realised that most of the myths that were reviewed were of games pre ps2/gamecube/xbox era. Im talking about myths such as obtaining the triforce in OoT, Mew in Pokemon Red/Blue, and the the hidden island in Goldeneye.

I was wondering if there are any interesting myths and such for games of this gen. I remember reading recently about the hidden room in Batman AA, but other than that, are their any more?

The hidden room in Batman: AA isn't a myth.

Plenty of easter eggs like the warden's secret office in Arkham Asylum, no true myths though.

Those rumors and what not were epic, I never heard the one about the triforce, but there was this rumor going around my school about a "super sword" that you could get by lobbing bombs into the windows overlooking Zelda's coutyard inside the castle. And the one about getting behind Bill's house and catching all three starters in Pokemon R/B. Ermac and Reptile's appearances in the original MK. We don't have anything awesome like that this gen. But then maybe it had more to do with our young, impressionable minds at the time, who knows.

Some of those are current gen games.
You should buy Beyond Good and Evil HD. Seriously, please?

GTA 4 and Oblivion I think. Whatever that creature was called in GTA and apparently Oblivion had a hidden creature somewhere...I think.

Ah, just google around. The Oblivion myth was the Fiji Mermaid.
