Any of these games are worth getting? (Pretty long list)

#1Arucard05Posted 7/7/2011 6:11:14 AM
So I've pretty much got all the must have big name games. I want to go back and get some older or more obscure titles. If you could, just look the the list and comment on any games you may have played.

Wolfenstein
Wanted Weapons Of Fate
Wheelman
Wet
Viking: Battle for Asgard
Vanquish
TimeShift
The Simpsons
The Bourne Conspiracy
Turok
Terminator Salvation
The Club
The Godfather II
Splatterhouse
Saw 2 Flesh And Blood
Saw
Silent Hill Homecoming
Stuntman: Ignition
Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions
Sacred 2 Fallen Angel
Split Second
Resonance of Fate
Prototype
Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom
Mafia 2
Mini Ninjas
Medal Of Honor
Devil May Cry 4
Dark Sector
Conan
Condemned 2 - Bloodshot
Afro Samurai

You should buy Beyond Good and Evil HD. Seriously, please?

Dr. House and Dr. Cox should team up and cure everything.

dark sector isn't the worst thing ever made, just kind of unremarkable. it's a nice gears with powers rip-off.

I'd say just Vanquish is worth getting out of that list

Yeah I'm not having any of that nonsense, Raven Software makes great shooters. Wolfenstein and Singularity are great games assuming you aren't getting them to play online.

Wolfenstein (I found a mint copy on amazon for 13 dollars, and it's amazing)

Vanquish (Assuming you find it for less than 30, yes it's a good game, but over in a flash.)

Sacred 2 Fallen Angel (This game requires a bit of mental investment and rewards a player who is willing to invest a lot of time. Find this one cheap)

Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom (Another cheap game these days, it's charming and plays well, I liked it.)

Devil May Cry 4( I can only recommend the PC version which runs on nearly everything. Check out this link and go about 29 seconds in: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5IKu27FLeg0)

Conan (This is a terrible experience regardless of what price you find it for. The boobs don't save this one)

Wolfenstein (fun if you like the series)
Wanted Weapons Of Fate (no)
Wheelman (good mindless action game with Vinny D, as I like to call him)
Wet (if you like 1970s grindhouse cinema, this is the game for you)
Viking: Battle for Asgard (no)
Vanquish (over-the-top Gears influenced action from Platinum Games... YES)
TimeShift (didn't play it)
The Simpsons (great script, funny jokes, meh gameplay)
The Bourne Conspiracy (very unappreciated game. I loved it. Hidden gem)
Turok (decent, but not as memorable as the previous games)
Terminator Salvation (no)
The Club (didn't play it)
The Godfather II (meh... rent it)
Splatterhouse (I liked it, but it's most definitely not for everyone... or really anyone)
Saw 2 Flesh And Blood (god no)
Saw (see above)
Silent Hill Homecoming (if you like the series, then don't get it. Otherwise, it's decent)
Stuntman: Ignition (fun but forgettable... rental)
Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions (I liked it)
Sacred 2 Fallen Angel (n/a)
Split Second (n/a)
Resonance of Fate (JRPG with guns. WOOT! I guess...)
Prototype (there are better open-world games... and there are worse... so/so)
Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom (n/a)
Mafia 2 (n/a)
Mini Ninjas (yes. Loved it)
Medal Of Honor (I liked it. But then again, I know the MoH series came before CoD)
Devil May Cry 4 (yep)
Dark Sector (n/a)
Conan (n/a)
Condemned 2 - Bloodshot (hell yeah!)
Afro Samurai (style for miles. Shallow swordplay. Great if you like the series)

And those are my opinions. Take 'em, or leave 'em.

Thanks for the replies so far.

I'd like to add any games would be bought for offline only and I'd get them for really cheap, so price isn't an issue, just want to know if they're worth a playthrough.

Vanquish is the best game on that list easily.
Devil May Cry 4 is good too.
Don't care about the rest.

Not trying to be vague, but I am an easy to please gamer and have purchased cheaply, or rented and finished almost every game on that list--liked them all.

It's a great list of lower eschelon titles with varying genres--made me want to go back and play some of them again.
