EA on Madden: Sorry, you don't deserve better

#1MurphysLawPosted 7/9/2011 10:25:36 AM
EA:
When it comes to the tight schedule of an annual development cycle, we have to make tough decisions, and it became apparent as we continued to work through our campaign that there was no way to deliver a deep, fully connected Online Franchise experience that you deserve this year. Therefore, there will be no additions to Online Franchise mode in Madden NFL 12.

But please give us your $60.

Activision is evil.

I agree with EA.

Vote with your wallets.

Simple.

If it sells, they continue to produce rubbish.

If it doesn't, they improve it or can it.

Either way, I'm not bothered.

They said we do deserve better.

They're just not going to give it to us.

Why is that? They are admitting the tight development cycle makes it hard to fulfill what they want to do. Which means the consumer gets shafted as we are still being charged full price each year. If they truly cared about the consumers they would have two separate teams making the games so that each team is allotted enough development time. Either that or don't charge consumers full price for a game that isn't fully envisioned.

To make matters even worse they also implement a online pass which hurts those who are looking for a deal.

Why is that?

Because they said "We were unable to give you what you deserve this year." They're saying we DO deserve better, but they weren't able to do it.

Features get cut from just about every piece of software during development. Thia ia nothing new.

But I changed the wording to what it really means because if we did deserve better we would be.
