Ok, I'm getting a Kinect, but here's the situation:

I have a $150 gift card from Best Buy (that I was planning to put towards a MacBook in 2 months or so)
Plus, $55 on my GameStop PowerUp card.

GameStop is giving a $25 gift card when you purchase a Kinect. So, I could either:

A) Use the BB gift card and pay nothing for the Kinect, and save up the replacement money for the MacBook later down the road.

or

B) Use my powerup card and pay $100 for the Kinect, and use the $25 gift card for a game or something. Which I'll still have my BB gift cards for my MB.

Use the money for the computer, it's much more important.

Congratulations, congratulations...
Well done my friend, you've done it again

If you have the spare cash, get it at Gamestop. Then you can put that gift card toward another Kinect title like Dance Central or Child of Eden.

BOOM! THAT JUST HAPPENED.

I second the Gamestop option. Keep that gift card for BB for the Macbook

^ Put your $150 gift card from Best Buy towards that MacBook, but put your $55 GameStop PowerUp card towards a good game.

The Kinect is for the wife (mainly) and for the family.

Use the BB card and pay nothing for the Kinect, and get the Macbook via a friend in education/teaching or a neighbors kid going to college or something (there's a discount on mac products bought through education channels- I don't recall if it was a flat dollar amount or a percentage, but I saved like $100).

regarding kinect-i played store demos of it, and it really seems to lag, and sometimes unresponsive, and even sometimes too responsive at the menu screen.
