I can't cancel my subscription on gold membership?

Automatic renewal says on

and there's no option to change it.


also when I try to remove my card off of it it says
"An outstanding balance exists on this payment instrument. Please try again later."

You can't remove your card while that Gold subscription is active. You will have to call support to turn off auto-renewal.

They don't give you an option to turn it off. It's there way of trying to steal money from you if you don't call in.

They know people are shy/lazy, and some will never want to call, its douchey but smart from them.

You have to call, i had to endure the same thing, i even had to explain why. Which was kinda odd

Its not like they "forgot" to put a Cancel button there

I notice that myself. I don't see why you can't. You're already paid up and they have it on record when your gold account expires. There's no reason for them to hold on to your CC info.

Didn't the new update let you turn it off through your console? Go to "Account Management" and see what you can find.

No, the update only allows you to remove CC info, which still cannot be done if it is the one paying for your Gold membership, it had nothing to do with adding the ability to turn off auto-renew.
