From Dust or Bastion

Both 15 dollars, both games I want to play. Which is better in your opinion?

I'll probably end up buying the other when it's on sale.

Bastion looked a bit fun, but not $15 worth to me. From Dust has had my interest from the first preview - gonna d/l it later and buy it if I like the trial - I broke down and bought MSP for the first time in years (I got 12000 MSP for $35 a while ago and I kept winning MSP from sweepstakes and 1 vs. 100) just for From Dust.

I have both, and enjoy both. It's hard to compare the two since they are very different, but I think Bastion is the better game. Unless you have a genre preference at play here, that's what I'd choose.

Fortunately, you can easily try the trials for each if you have not.

I thought I would like From Dust better but based off the trials I prefer Bastion. I'm not buying anything now because Insanely Twisted Planet comes out next week and looks really cool.

Bastion is second only to Portal 2 as the best game this and it isn't even very far behind. It is easily the best arcade release since Shadow Complex.

Haven't tried From Dust but Bastion is great.

Done with JRPGs and pretty much J anything at this point.

My sentiment exactly. The soundtrack alone warrants a purchase.

I've played the demo for both. Really like both. Does anyone know how long it takes roughly to complete each?

Apparently if you buy both you get The maw not exactly sure how it works, I think it's any 2 summer of arcade titles and not sure if it's only the maw you can get but here is where i got the info http://www.giantbomb.com/from-dust/61-31722/buy-bastion-from-dust-etc-get-the-maw-for-free/35-507572/ I believe it's like what they did last year where if you bought 2 summer of arcade titles you got another for 400 ms or something like that. Personally from dust was a disappointment for me but the earth and water environmental effects are pretty fun to mess around with but other than that they missed the trick badly could have been a true continuation of Black & White's legacy. Unfortunate. Bastion I would say is the better buy but it depends what kind of games you like really both pretty good for the money I enjoy both genre's and I believe bastion is better overall.

Also forgot to mention Bastion is about ten hours with a bunch of replay value. Not sure about dust but I would assume until you get bored.
