One common problem is that people with DSL need to put your routers into PPPoE mode. And you may have to put your modem into bridged mode.
Others will suggest forwarding ports... but that is really not the fix, and you still may get problems with the rest of your network, computers still may not be getting the full download speeds.
So that is the first thing I would look at. If that's not it and you're using a modem and a router, then make sure your modem is just a modem, not a modem/router combo. You don't want to use a second router with a modem/router combo. --- I live in a constant state of Deja Vu. Didn't I mention this once before?
