I want to get one of the but I can't decide which one is better, Bastion is pretty fun but I think Toy Soldiers might last longer

Bastion is an annoying kid from The Never Ending Story, I would hence go with the Toy Soldiers route.

Well, I'd like an opinion from someone that doesn't hate one of the games...

Bastion is the best arcade release since Shadow Complex, and maybe ever. The campaign is about 10 hours and you will almost certainly want to play through at least twice. Plus, the arenas remain fun long after even the second play through.

Toy Soldiers 2 is very good but there's plenty of "very goods" on Arcade and only a few true stellar games like Bastion.

I would very much appreciate more opinions, I don't have any games with me so whenever I make a choice I will probably download it immediately

Both are great, Bastion is better.

Bastions solid fun and a worthwhile experiance but it does have a few issues, some weapons clearly overpower others...this isnt to say the others are bad per se they just pale in comparison. (eg why bother with a hammer when you can just uber blast everything at a distance...i suppose you could put this down to catering for playstyles and variety but it just felt like making the game more awkward than it needed to be).

the customisation and story is fun and the enemies mix things up aswell as being able to "invoke" gods to add more challenge yet provide more rewards. The game works its just i found it kinda lacklustre in the end.

It starts to drag a little and once you've done it except for achievements or wrapping everything up in the second run thats about it, i didnt find it anywhere near aslong as others and i completed all the weapon challenges and side quests. In all honesty it'll be better waiting till its a DotW and scoring it for cheap.

I personally havent got toy soldiers but the demo was a blast, you should try the gametrailers.com review for both games to see them in action past the trial.

Just thought i'll atleast help by throwing in an honest opinion to one of the games your asking about.

Aslong as your loving the games on the system your playing, then YOU are the one winning the console war, remember play the games, not the console
