Deus Ex is pretty damn good.

Might I also suggest....

Metro 2033
Borderlands
Fallout 3

^ All are games that take place in an apocalyptic setting, and are also FPS.

^ Techland is NOT an awful developer.
Call of Juarez was good, and Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood was awesome.
Call of Juarez: the Cartel did in fact suck, but it screamed "rush job" from the beginning. It also came out of nowhere and was literally announced six months before it actually released. Not a good sign.
Dead Island has been in development for 3 or 4 years. (or more)

Dead Island will be good, it just won't be as good as Deus Ex.
It is my opinion that it will be better than either Dead Rising or Left 4 Dead.

DX by a wide margin compared to homefront, but DI isnt out yet so maybe wait and see?

BTW
Forgot to mention that Homefront wasn't all that good, imho. It was a chore to play, and very short.
Deus Ex is really good, and I only have a few complaints, such as boring boss fights & sterile environments. However the scope of the game is through the roof.
