Gunvalkyrie2Posted 9/4/2011 11:47:19 AM | When they review a game that gets an "8 out of 10" the word "Great" is right beside it, could be a UK thing, haven't checked the states, but really, a B is great? |
Link43130Posted 9/4/2011 11:54:09 AM | No. Only 10/10's deserve the word "Great". In fact, in the states there's a large push to get a "B" changed to a failing grade, since you're either perfect or you fail. --- Steam/XBL/PSN: Link43130

desert_santaPosted 9/4/2011 12:03:08 PM | To me a 8/10 is good, 9/10 would be great.
Look on gfaqs, to them an eight is also great, so no, it's not a UK thing, unless this is a british site now? |
scoobydoobydontPosted 9/4/2011 12:04:26 PM | Wait... you like IGN? --- Sometimes questions are more important than answers. |
desert_santaPosted 9/4/2011 12:07:05 PM | I like IGN too!
Most of the times.......
I like watching their daily fix and some video reviews anyways. |
pyrokinesis666Posted 9/4/2011 12:07:09 PM | ign is the most biased unfair reviewer there is |

desert_santaPosted 9/4/2011 12:09:54 PM | not saying i always agree with ign's scores, but they do give me a rough idea what to expect from most games
i have noticed reviews show a little bias, but then i think most do in general, just some moreso than others |

Wait, wait wait...
I thought Gamespot were the ones who were best paid? Didn't one dude quit there because he didn't want to do a good review for a bad game or something like that?
As for reviews, I don't think an 8 should be great. Very good, maybe, but not great. Great should be 9+, IMO. --- Kungfuj0 |

Gamespot were caught redhanded because of one review, but IGN consistently ****s out blatantly paid for review scores on a more consistent basis. --- Sometimes questions are more important than answers. |
