Dead Island, Driver: SF, Warhammer, and Resistance 3 were all released this past Tuesday. Still surprises me that people aren't aware that Redbox now sells video games.

Redbox sells games now? I thought it was rent only type of thing? Unless you keep it, in which they'd likely charge you a crazy amount.

$2 a day isn't exactly a great deal, that's why.

Renting a game for 2 bucks a day is a horrible deal... especially when services like gamely are around...

Redbox's on its downward spiral. It won't be around in a decade.

Forgive me. I have a bleeding heart for gaming.
It has become a PowerFAQs experience for me.

I was curious about one thing with redbox, how would the machine know if a game is being returned without scratches? I would be worried about renting a game and having it have a big circle scratch right out of the machine from a previous renter.

generally the discs are in decent condition. but these are problems they would have even with dvd movies, i'm sure they've solved the problem any time any discs are in poor condition they probably resurface them.
