Can't play on Live

#1aPHATPosted 9/9/2011 3:46:25 PM
So with Gears3 coming out soon I decided to reactivate my gold account and play gears 1 and 2 with a friend. But it'as asking me to do a 4MB update and when I try to it gives me en error with status code: 351f 0000 d080 8015 1802 and says to check my connection settings. When I did check though it said it was connecting to everything just fine. Anyone know a way to remedy this?

Try clearing your cache.

I've tried that. I've tried reseting my routre, tried plugging in directly, nothing seems to work.

Did you try clearing the system data in the 360's storage settings?

That deletes all my content on the HDD no? Could it be something with the network settings? I did reformat my computer recently so the settings might be different. I can do everything else (access marketplace. see my friends. etc). I just can't connect to live while in a game. It'll keep asking to do a 4MB update and give me that error when I try to download it.

I thought there was a way to just delete the system update.

can you use a Usb drive as memory and remove the HDD? I would try that, and you should be prompted for updates again.

You may have to call Xbox Support, or send them an email. Hope you get it resolved.
