No I don't think they are ruining games. When a developer chooses to allow cheating they usually block the gaining of achievements. Your problem is that developers aren't adding cheats as much as they used to.

A lot of games I've played wouldn't have got a second playthrough if it wasn't for achievements. --- My Little Ponies are Augmented i never asked for this

As a gamer who has OCD and usually tries to get 100% of everything anyway, it's nice to know that sometimes there are more challenges, I'm glad that there are achievements, you get more playtime out of a game instead of running through it in 5 hours and wasting 50 bucks --- Xbox 360 gamertag: AzraelDKF

yes,partly that and partly online play --- Never,ever buy anything from Sony. 8 system failures,including the PS3 twice. 0 fixed by Sony. I learned the hard way. This is here so you don't have to.

never was a fan of cheats being in games, i prefer achievements instead. --- all 360 games should have a demo. lets put revieweres out of business.
