Want to encourage those who haven't played it to grab it somewhere (Amazon or EBay) because this game is a nice change of pace. It's aged very well, I had forgotten how good it looked. The original is salty as help but you can grab the Sega gt/JSRF bundle for next to nothing. Just be sure you have access to the Backwards Compatibility update via Xbox Live.

Just a public service announcement.

I've had it since 2002 or whatever but just beat it this year. Absolutely a great and unique game. Just a shame it runs so poorly on the 360.

I haven't had any real problems at all aside from a very few instances of slowdown. Your statement makes it sound much much worse than it really is.

These are the problems wiki lists and they are all problems I encounter with the game:
Noticeable slowdown in some stages. Flickering and obscured text in pause menus. Textures may disappear after leaving pause menu. Custom graffiti can only be done for SS, S, and M sizes on a zoom. L or XL will not work.
It doesn't stop me from starting it up and not putting it down until the game is beat and everyone is unlocked about once every year. One of my favorite games.

I only noticed slowdown upon entering a few stages haven't experienced the others. Also, this was the game that sold me that OG Xbox

I remember when I got my xbox, I picked up Halo and figured this was a throwaway game bundled with the system. Got bored one day, gave the game a try, and completed it in one setting. I still have that JSRF/Sega GT 2002 combo game. I want to go buy an original Xbox again just so I don't have to deal with the slowdown issues on the 360.

There's hardly any slowdown, really. I just beat it on 360 a few weeks ago for the first time (on that system). Was great to visit it again.

I've beat it on 360 plenty of times and some of the areas are almost unplayable compared to how it ran on the original xbox. 99th street is just annoying now.

If you like JSRF I recommend JGR to you. Its only on the DC though. I been nagging Sega to port it to arcade atleast. we need it. But only if all the music stays.

I own it on the Dreamcast, and while I do love it... Future pretty much improved on it in every way. I'd still take an Arcade port, and considering the music in both is god-awful IMO it wouldn't matter to me at all if they changed it.
