My buddy says I am hard to understand through them, this common with these headsets? I can hear him fine.

Does anybody use these things? Seems like people here don't have a lot of info on the turtle beach headsets.

Well you're asking how others hear you when you're using a product... it's hard to say how others can hear you. It's not something that most people discuss with people.

Thanks. My friend says I am loud but he can't understand me. I'm just trying to see if anybody has gotten feedback like that from using these headsets. I don't know why he can't understand what I am saying, seems to work fine in other situations.

Move the mic away from your face. Also make sure everything is completely and correctly plugged in. Also make sure the holes in the boom mic are actually facing your mouth.

Thank you. Those are some solid tips, I have tried having the mic away from my face, in fact I had it turned completely away and for one session my friend said it sounded better (WTH?) I did not think to check the other things though. Let me see if that makes a difference.

i think i may be the only one in existance with an original xbox headset that hasn't broke the tab off. i have the 360 controller adaptor & use the old headset. sound quality & volume are far superior to the 360 headset. i love it.

I agree with you man. I think the original headset was much better,. I rarely had problems with it and the mic actually traveled to my mouth. The ones on the 360, I can't stand. The mic wont get close enough to my face and people have trouble hearing me. Big downgrade IMO.
