People with the Astro Mixamp, I've got a question.

Do you guys know if a "USB Power cable" exists. I'm not talking about the long-one that connects to the RX unit: but an actual power cable that'll connect to the TX's AC Port and get its power from USB? I've searched around but keep pulling up the USB mini cables instead.

Can't you get power over USB with the cable included?

AFAIK there isnt a usb power cable for the wireless unit, it was one of the biggest complaints the idea being is that its for home use, you set it up and thats it, its never moved. (Which to be fair isnt what a headset is really purchased for).

In all honesty it felt like astro found out about what the other headset manufacturers were making and bolted that thing out the door simply for the headstart.

I don't think there is. However, if you go to purchase one from the site, it asks you what additions you would like to add to it. I don't remember what you're asking for being an option though :(

Worth checking out the Astro site, pretty sure there's no third party products for it.
(If there is please let me know!)

What headphones/headset are you using with it?

I don't know what size fits exactly. All I know is to look for a 5v cable.

Came across this after googling USB power cable. Plenty of additional options for sizes, etc if this specific one isn't correct.

I'm using it with a typical Plantronics Gamecomm for now. I'm debating about swapping for a Sennheiser HD555 instead, as I've read tons of testimonies from both sides that the HD595s aren't worth the bigger premium for my gaming needs: jury's still out on that one though. If I had a choice: I'd like to get some quality stereo earbuds instead, but other than Shure: I don't know any other companies, nor am I familiar enough with Shure to make a informed decision.

I've done the same with some hits on Ebay: The back part that shows power consumption lists it as 5V 2.5A which most USB ports can supply for sure. I've measured the diameter of the AC plug with a Vernier caliper and it comes around to be 5mm. If Capwnd gets back: he can use the USB to AC cable that comes with the X41s to test it.

Goo dluck on the hunt, please post if you find one that works. My cats chew through my cables every once in awhile and it would be nice to have a replacement if necessary. I've already had to find a 3rd party mic cable (stupid adorable cats).
