controller randomly turning off when playing online

batteries are full, bottom thing is not loose. It's annoying as it kept turning off constantly during my first Gears 3 Horde match and I had to leave at Wave 17 because the turning off got ridiculous (almost every 3 seconds). Happens in MW2 as well online, but it never turns off when navigating menus or when im not playing online. The Controller is in mint and was never "thrown" or fallen, it's only a few months old so the hell is this s***? I cant even play online now due to it probably happening again.

I had similar issues with the controller that came with the Slim I got in late November of last year- I was using the pack that holds 2 AA batteries. At first I thought it was the fact I was using rechargeable AA's, so I tried some new non-rechargeables I had- still the same problem you describe. I finally said "screw it" and got the "Play and Charge" kit- now the controller works fine- but I'm out the 15 bucks the P&C kit cost on Amazon.

is it possible that there could be some sort of interference in the connection?
