A friend of mine put his profile on one of those 512 MB xbox memory card thingy's and brought it to my house so we could play online together. When he got home and put it back on his console (which is an offline console, btw) it said his gamertag is corrupted. How did this happen? And how do we fix it? Also, how can we keep it from happening again but him still be able to bring the gamertag over and play online with me from time to time?

Probably removed the memory unit while it was saving or something. Be careful with that.

I could have sworn we turned the console off before it was removed.

I think you just have to recover his GT. Don't quote me on that.

Well, yeah, but he can't do that on his system. We have to do it on mine, then we don't know if it'll be corrupted again when he takes it home.
