No, probably not.

There's not a shooter on X360 that would benefit from it in any huge way; they're all too slow paced and have aim assist. You'd have to re-engineer the entire paradigm for console FPSes to make KB+M work, really.

Halo is too floaty and slow paced to really make a difference with KB+M.

It'd be one thing if we're all playing Q3A clones, but we aren't: Most console shooters are as slow paced as, say, Raven Shield. And I don't mind using a controller for a game like that.

slower paced games doesn't meant the games won't benefit from mouse aiming... it just means it's slower paced.

CS is slow as **** compared to UT/quake but still has a steep learning curve for its shooting mechanics.

anyways to topic, then no... it won't "open up" because the most popular console shooters are marketed towards a specific crowd and that crowd most likely would not give a damn.

hell, here's the opinion of a CS player on CoD:BO on PC:

Oh right, the video of one mans pathetic attempt to insult CoD. I don't like CoD as much as the next guy, but that was just sad.

build a gaming PC. You can play every single modern game with a $600 Gaming PC assuming you already have a monitor, keyboard, mouse, and operating system.

going on a rant about how piss-easy the game is isn't as close to an insult as it is to a statement of fact.

or he "could" go for ps3 and wait for CS:GO next year since it'll support m/kb as well as crossplatform play between ps3/PC.

that's gonna be fun to watch.

why not just add action replay and game genie wile you are at it and completely tip the scales of fairness.

Using a KBM against controller is unfair at best
