They really screwed up with the BF3 beta by not giving people a good map with vehicles like they did for BC2 with Port Valdez that had everything including a chopper and had people gushing over the game pre release.
The BF3 demo is the equivalent of Nelson Bay arguably the single most hated and least played map on BC2

People hate Nelson Bay? Oh man, I love that map. =(

Operation Metro actually reminded me most of Vantage Point from BFBC2 Vietnam, very linear, very cramped, easy for one team to get a lopsided advantage. I liked the metropolitan setting of Paris for a war zone; the subway, the courtyards, all that was perfect, it's just that they stacked them on top of one another in a rectangular shape. Maps like those never work well for Battlefield where flanking is key. White Pass was sort of the same way, but at least you had a couple more routes to take. Both of them had tanks, ironic enough.
