Modern Sonic's stage was a lot better than I was expecting. There were some parts that felt a bit on-raily, but I think there's always been some of that in every Sonic game to one degree or another, plus this is practically a tutorial.

Classic Sonic has taken a big step up from the old demo back in July, it looks like most or all of the physics and framerate issues have been ironed out, you can actually see what's going on at high speeds now. The only thing that bugs me a little is the vacuum effect on some of the loopty loops, they sort of pull you in for a canned running animation (one of the on-rails aspects I was referring to earlier), but that's a minor problem, I won't be terribly bothered if it's still present in the full game. All in all, I liked what I played.

Enjoyed the modern Sonic gameplay. The classic gameplay gets a little too blurry when you're going fast. Can't really see what's ahead.
