I'm using the classic consoles, transferring all data from a 20GB to a 120GB. I saw a disk on a video tutorial but the dashboard looked old. --- Ouch! What do you do?

Not any more, the transfer cable now just acts like any other storage device. --- Movies that I believe will come true: Wall-E, Idiocracy Halo 1 > all other Halo games

I was able to transfer game data, but nothing else, how to you get the rest of the stuff? --- Ouch! What do you do?

Huh? As I said, it's treated just like any other storage device, so just go to the memory screen, click on what you want and choose move/copy. --- Movies that I believe will come true: Wall-E, Idiocracy Halo 1 > all other Halo games

OK I figured it out,
What I was doing wrong was just plugging in the new HDD with the cable and trying to transfer everything off the original that way.
You have to remove the original HDD and attach the new one, hook the cable up to the old one and transfer that way. It took a while for my XB to recognise the cable but it saw it eventually.
If you hook up the new HDD by the cable it treats it like any other storage device, like if you use a flash drive to store games, you can't clone your HDD unless you do it the way I described above. --- Ouch! What do you do?
