Would anyone else love to see GTA Tokyo or something similar

Tokyo, Rio, a return to London..anything not an american city. Three of the largest, most diverse and well known city/areas have already been tackled in the GTA universe I personally really didn't enjoy GTAIV at all. I was not a fan of the present timeline (I mean who doesn't love returning to a mockery of the 80's and 90's) or Niko or another trip to liberty and I'd really like to see something different.

Personally I think Tokyo or even Hong Kong would be nice. A take on the Yakuza/Triads, flashy cars, lots of people, neon signs. Would be nice to see an out of place American in a foreign land.

Sure, but I think Yakuza is closest thing we'll ever get.

Agreed something not done before would be really good for GTA V.

What's best about GTA games comes from imitating popular movies and TV shows, satirizing the familiar (i.e. American culture), and making good use of popular music.

The only way it could work in a non-American country is if they heavily Americanized the setting, which would just be dumb.

Really consider it for a moment. Are they going to make the radio stations in English?

If the Yakuza series could have a map are large as GTA, it would simply blow the GTA series out of the water.

The mini-games and side activities completely put GTA to shame, and the main stories can get convoluted, but generally just as good quality or even better than GTA.

Satellite radio is a thing :P

Plus a couple foreign stations could mix things up a bit anywho. You can still satirize a foreign culture as well. You just have to do it in a manner that satirizes American stereotyping of said culture.
