Gearbox honors late fan in Borderlands 2

Damn...I actually got something of a lump in my throat.

Aged 22...poor guy. There's no *good* age to die of cancer....but twenty freakin two?

Nice to see in the game developer world there are enough developers willing to give a crap about their fans to this extent.

It's sad when a friend close to you who's a major fan of a video game is taken so early in life, especially when they died knowing they would not be able to play the latest sequel.

I still think of my friend Sid who did not get the chance to play MGS4 before he died during a heart transplant. He was a wonderful artist and I'd like to share his deviant art page with you all:

Damn.

I'm getting real soft in my old age, especially now that I am a parent.

between this eulogy and reading about the 3 year old girl whose mom died in the house and she was left alone trying to wake mommy for 2 days before someone finally checked up on them, my eyes have been really wet.....

Class act by a great company.

You always hear the horror stories about working at a game company but there will always be those good ones out there and Gearbox is one of them.
