Black Friday?

#1Jamirus2Posted 11/22/2011 12:12:14 PM
There's the Holiday Bundle online and in the store.

I've never been Black Friday shopping before. Should I try and stake out the Xbox deal at Best Buy, or order it online?

If I do it online, do I have to like, order it right at midnight?

Generally speaking, how many of the system are on sale? If it's like 5, it's not very likely I would even get one...

Wal-Mart has the best bundles I seen for a new 360. Check that out.

If I read the Best Buy Ad correctly, I think it said they would have at least 12 of the 250gb Holiday Bundle ($200) at each store. So, figure out if it's worth it. Also, I don't think it's a "ticket" item, which I'm pretty sure means you have to run in and grab it yourself.

Then again, I think most people who want 360s have them already (if not, they'll probably be looking for Kinect instead), so hopefully demand won't be too high. Except those bastard resellers...

This is what I'm thinking. Hopefully demand wont be too high, although I am nervous about having to run for it myself...

I just wonder what time to get in line

I would just take the bestbuy ad to another store (walmart, target) and price match the 250gb console. Those two stores are offering deals on the 4g/4g kinect bundles and ignoring the 250gb. Nobody will be going to those two stores for the holiday bundle thus there is no rush for the system.

Yeah the best deal I've found for a 250gb is the bundle with Fable III and Halo Reach at Best Buy. I want to get that along with MW3, FIFA 12, and Skyrim. Do you know if they have really good deals on games as well?

Do other stores pricematch during black friday?

Good to see that there are others like me who don't have xbox but are thinking of getting one on black Friday or cyber Monday. I don't really have any intentions of driving out and waiting in line so I'll look for deals online. Maybe bestbuy offers the 250gb for 199.99 online as well? I'll have to check Friday and Monday.

Yeah, do this. I just left the grocery last night and there were already tents set up outside the Best Buy next door-- and I live in a relatively small town. $100 isn't worth it to me to weather those crowds unless I get to do it with a cattle prod.
