Bump. I want to clear this up, you can use any size hard drive, right? But how much can you actually use? My friend is telling me it will only partition 16 gigs.

16 GB when formatted for use with game files, the other response about any size was for use as media storage. --- You can't make an omelette without crushing dozens of eggs beneath your steel boot and then publicly disemboweling the chickens that laid them as a warning.

You can only use 16GB if you want to format it as a storage space for the Xbox. --- Intel Core i5-760 @ 3.52GHz | 4GB G.Skill 1600MHz DDR3 | Radeon HD5670 512MB | Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD3 | Antec Neo Eco 520C | Antec 300 Illusion | Windows 7 x64

i use a MyBook external HDD from Western Digital. i stored about 13 Gigs of data on it. i did initially get a warning that it wasnt ideal brand , but that meant nothing in the long run.
i have kept the data stored on it for over a year now and used it recently to transfer everything from my xbox's old 60gig to my new 120gig. --- PSWiiPC60 - Deus Ex, Crysis, Skyward sword, Battlefield, LIMBO Forza, God of war, Mortal Kombat, Bioshock, Arkham City, Gears of war, Rage, COD:MW
