So - it was my birthday earlier this week, an someone got me this. I'd played the demo when it was out and thought it was pretty good (but not an insta-buy) so I'm relatively happy.

Before I play any games I check it out on marketplace to see if there's DLC etc

Now LoS has 2 sets of DLC - my problem is this:

They seem to indicate that they're both continuations of the game and that THEY are the true endings of the game? Does that mean that the actual game is left on an unsatisfying cliffhanger? Are they both actually worth 800G?

If I enjoy enough I'll get the DLC regardless, just kind of sucks (haha vampires) that I'll know the game is incomplete without them.

The game without the DLC does end in a satisfactory way... it's just what happens AFTERWARDS... Lets just say it's a big WTF moment... and the DLC helps to explain some of it...

The game itself is one of my top 5 of this generation.. i got it about 6 months after release and was stunned by it... The graphics, music, story are all pretty damn good... Though the camera can be a pain at times...

It is a lengthy game too... I hope you enjoy it!

Are they worth it then? Are they set in different places or does it reuse areas from the game?

I'm expecting it to be long - wasn't initially but after seeing it had 2 discs I kind of guessed.

Thing is, I've never been a Castlevania fan, but I am a big fan of solid 3rd person action games. Camera won't be a problem... something I've come to expect from the 3rd person genre.

The game stand alone was great, has a easter egg ending sorta(like most marvel movies, wait for after the credits)

I only played the first DLC and it wasn't all that great. I confused it with the second batch that came out later which is the one thats really good.
