Halo. Everyone of them.

Pitiful physics, tiresome bullet sponge enemies everywhere and one of the dumbest, most cliche riddled stories ever to be falsely painted as having "depth" by deluded fanboys as I've ever seen anywhere.

The suggestion this series somehow represents "the best" in FPS gaming doesn't so much make me laugh as it does make me vomit in my mouth, so sickening is just how blinkered the game's zealous fans are.

I'll defend the Uncharted series a bit. I hear what people are more or less saying (well, except this joker)

completely agree. these games play like how hot garbage smells

and when it comes to these types of "what is overrated" threads you try to point out things that are popular or have received a lot of praise and give negative OPINIONS about them. Try to keep things in perspective and don't state things as fact.

Anyways, yeah, Uncharted probably gets a little too much praise. But objectively thinking about it, it was a very tight narrative with great pace, excellent graphics, excellent voice acting, characters we care about, wrapped up in a simple cover system 3rd person shooter. As far as core gameplay mechanics go, a little lacking. But as an overall product? Pretty great. The games have received universal praise. Not all of those reviews could possibly be "studio plants" or "fanboy love". But if you didn't like it, you didn't like it. But don't call it "hot garbage" when it clearly is not.

As for my 2 cents, I agree with whoever said Bayonetta. I love and have played the crap out of Ninja Gaiden and Devil May Cry and other stylish combo based hack n slash games but Bayonetta didn't quite hit the right note with me. I don't know why. It definitely has the deepest, tightest combat system around that is damn near perfect but everything about the game was just....too much....if that's even possible. The whole thing was just too fantastical I guess.

But I don't know if that is really me calling it overrated since I respect it. Just didn't like it.

So I'll go with CoD and Halo. I have played alot of cod (ONLY with good friends since MW2), a lot of Halo 1, and a good amount of Halo 2 and 3 and these games shouldn't have the massive amount of sales and praise that they do. Maybe their first iterations but after that, they just didn't do enough to really innovate or change the game that much.

Every single game made by Bethesda. The fact that you need player-made mods to turn their rocks into cubic zirconia says it all.
