I got GoW for £5 preowned (actually it was £7.99 but in 2 for £10) a few years back. Then shortly before Gears 2 came out, it was £15 preowned in the same place.

Supply and Demand I guess in my case.

I've been trying to keep an eye on the Call of Duty titles with Black Ops II coming out.

Black Ops I is 38 dollars used right now, but i can't remember if it was cheaper months ago or not with the release date being so close.

I remember it was on sale new at BestBuy a few weeks ago (I know i said sale) for 20 dollars new, but i can not recall the GameStop used price.

Gamestracker.com says it was at one point

Was just at BestBuy a day or so ago by the way, and Left4Dead 1 PH is 20 dollars new for anyone who happens to be looking for it. they did have a new copy hanging around.

Also Left4Dead 2 is 24.99 used at BestBuy

Incorrect. Kinda.

There is either a demand on the item, OR a sequel or something is coming out where people will want to go back and play the originals.


Even if there isn't a demand they like to prepare for a possible one.

Take Halo 3, it is now 20$ instead of 5$. Maybe there is a demand and maybe there isn't I imagine most people who want it have it by now, but because of Halo 4 it is gone up 400% in price. Doesn't mean tons of people are buying it, but the demand for Halo 4 made Halo 3 rise.
