Borderlands 2 or Resident Evil 6

Recently found a Toys R Us giftcard on the sidewalk and it still had 50 bucks on it
Lucky me.

What should I put it towards?
I don't have Live but I hear BL2 is still pretty good without it.

I wasn't really a fan of the first Borderlands, but even if the second game is pretty much the same as the first I would still get it over Resident Evil 6. While I don't agree with some of the extremely low scores that RE6 got (like the 4.5 from Gamespot), I thought it was pretty damn bad. I don't really put much stock in professional reviews, anyways, so I still picked it up just so I could decide for myself. I ended up selling it online two days later. It's not just a bad Resident Evil game.. It's a bad game in general. At least RE5 was a good game, even if it wasn't a good Resident Evil game.

I know people that got re6 and are extremely upset with the game. The camera alone makes the game unplayable. I really wonder if the game ever got play tested.

The demo released got poor receptions and capcom said it wasn't a represention of the final product. Well they lied.

Did you actually read the reviews or just skim them? Because he gave very valid criticisms.

I would say go with Borderlands 2, it'll last you longer, is more polished, and improves upon the first in almost every way.

after 28hours with the game, the camera's problems are VASTLY overstated. it can get a bit finicky in very closed areas and the occasional disorientating melee move, but the camera is fine overall. you just have to get used to it.

anyways, tc BL2 id say is a better game and it is enjoyable in singleplayer, however its design is really centered around coop so theres lots of questing that can feel like a smaller mmo(lots of fetch and kill missions). tons of content though. RE6 i might recommend over BL2 if you dont plan to play with anyone. its got more focus on story and gameplay diversity. also has a lot of content.

sooo--
offline=RE6
Online=BL2

I'm loving both, but Borderlands2 gets my vote.
