I just feel that for consoles this generation was about making things shiny and not so much making games that were actually enjoyable. And it really lacked in good RPGs compared to last gen.
That's because they shifted focus from solid gameplay and replay-value to flashy set-pieces and online play to distract you from the fact that what you're playing is basically zero replay-value crap. It's no wonder games are down to $20 within 3 months these days, they have no staying power or value to consumers.
This gen, other than maybe Bioware's or Bethesda's games, I'd be hard pressed to name a game that doesn't depend on online play that's worth keeping or even worth a 2nd playthrough.
