Does gamestop take in RRoD 360's for trade?

My Xbox 360 Elite 120 gb RRoD'd tonight, and is out of warranty. Does anyone know if Gamestop takes broken 360's in for trade to be refurbished?

IDC if I only get like $20 for it as it's completely useless now and I just wanna get a little credit towards a 250 gb 360 s.

I would call gamestop obviously but yea, it just broke and it's late.

Yes they do, but they will charge you $25 for a repair fee. I got $65 for mine but they were running a double trade in credit for any system traded in. It ended today though.

Interesting, I wonder what the normal trade in price is with the repair fee.

Was bound to happen I guess. Luckily I'm getting AC3 and ZoE HD on PS3 so I won't be out playing the new games.

Im gonna guess around $40-$50, but i wouldnt hold me to that. It may vary in regions. Mine melted down and wouldnt power on and they still took it.

It's so low that it's not worth trading in, 3-4 years ago they told me $30, can't imagine it going up

Oh well even $20-30 would help. I'm guessing they wouldn't need my 120gb hdd?

they have to test it for 10 minutes without any problems for you to get full trade price, and right now they're doing double trade credit for systems (as far as i know) so you could leave there with over $100 in credit... IF you do the towel trick right before you take it up there.

years ago ,when my original xbox broke sometime around 2003; i brought it in to gamestop. i told them that the disc drive wont open. and if it did open it wouldnt close when a game was put in it...

they told me that it was my lucky day because they couldnt check to verify if it was broken or not so they bought at the same price they would if it worked.
