Denis Dyack is a punk. Seriously. SK has run themselves into the ground with bad business decisions. Not saying they didn't make some great games, but they've aged about as well as Yuji Naka or Rare.

Sooooo, maybe it could be a good long term investment to buy a new sealed copy from Amazon for $14?

SK had completely legitimate complaints and deserved some form of recompense. Instead they had their tongue cut out and were drawn and quartered in the streets for all to see because Epic is one of the Cash Gods(tm) of the electronic entertainment industry, and if Epic were made to look a fool, it would affect the image other Cash Gods(tm) that have long-standing ties with them, and that just couldn't fly.

lol Denis Dyack.

Hi C posted...

It affected a LOT of games in the mid 00's and put some developers out of business. Corrupt courts sided with Epic (Microsoft) for some reason.

Eidos / Ion Storm

Had games effected.

Tell me when happened that those two companies sued Epic.
Not to mention Square-Enix is going to use UE4 too in the future.

'Besides SK I never heard of a developing team sucking that much at using a game engine to the point of suing a game engine company. Fully documented UDK says hi.'

There are actually quite a few complaints from developers about the quality of tools provided with UE3, which is why UE4 has apparently had an entire rewrite of all of them. The UDK is said to be nicer to use than a full license of UE3, as it was released halfway through this reshuffle.

Could this be the nail in the coffin for Silicon Knights?

Dumb ass SK. And I'm a fan of Too Human. Which means I don't get a sequel. Ugh

You weren't going to get one anyway.

I think Denis Dyack is on his way to a mental institution. He could use the rest. I think I read the company was already down to, like, 4 employees, one being his wife. The other 2 were probably his pets.
