X-COM: UFO Defense.

Everything about it is just amazing. Especially if you only save and load when you quit and return to the game, rather than to overwrite bad decisions. Because you will make bad decisions. And they will get your guys killed. A lot.

This is actually a good thing, for this game. You might be surprised by it, but, true. Steam. $5. Comes with a DOSBox installer, so it can run on Vista and 7 as well. Do it.

Don't complain about a game having to much content that you can't focus. It's not the games fault you have the attention span of a squirrel.
