Good Western RPGs?

#1SchmemanPosted 11/12/2012 6:02:50 PM
I'm looking for some recommendations for some good western role playing games on the 360. I've played all the bethesda and bioware games, so any semi-obscure games that you guys could recommend? Thanks :)

semi-obscure? id say might & magic: clash of heroes.
We don't have mistakes here, we just have happy accidents.

Dragon's Dogma
While made in Japan, it plays like a WRPG.

Dark Souls is a tough (but good) ARPG.
It's more action oriented but still has the traditional RPG elements, minus the in depth story.

Dark souls isn't a wrpg, but you could include that in your list because it is western styled (its a jrpg).

You should get the witcher 2

^ No, its an ARPG
Dark SOuls has absolutely nothing in common with JRPG's.
And JRPG's are defined by specific game elements, of which Dark Souls has none of.
Even the Developers have mentioned that their game is a game that was modeled after WRPG's, namely Diablo.
Its an ARPG.

Just like Dragons Dogma ISN'T a JRPG, despite being made in Japan, as it is modeled exactly like WRPGs.

Two Worlds I and II. I enjoyed the first way more than I did Oblivion. I never got around to finishing II though, somehow my savegame got a weird motion blur effect that drove me crazy, and I didn't feel like loading a much older save that wasn't affected.

Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga

Some like it, some don't. I enjoyed it, but try the trial and see for yourself. Also, do not get Divinity II: Ego Dragonis. Dragon Knight Saga is the complete and improved version of Divinity II.
Playing: Tekken Tag 2, Dishonored, Hard Corps: Uprising, SoR2
