Yup, I agree. I like the game; it's lovely to look at too and I've had fun with it, but it doesn't feel like a GOTY to me, but then, everyone's different. I still think it should get a nom probably though - given the competition.

It's the 6th game is a series that while good, hardly ever changes, I wouldn't expect Black ops or AC3 to get anything either

Journey, a game funded by Sony, is considered an "indie" game, while FTL is not nominated.

As usual, the GOTY list is awful. Only Dishonored really belongs on that list. Meanwhile several quality games such as XCom, Borderlands 2, Halo 4, Mark of the Ninja, Fez, Spec Ops, and Guild Wars 2 get shafted.

this year's list is fairly weak imo. the fact that diablo 3 was nominated for 2 awards is appalling

The biggest problem with the VGAs this year is the lack of Persona 4 Golden and Virtue's Last Reward for the handheld category.

At least Journey got the recognition it deserved.

Its copy+paste just like the yearly CoD Garbage
Like 15 games in one Gen are to much and we have to much of those games.

Games like Journey and some others deserve it cause they

a) Are something new
b) unique and ultra high quality in the things they do
c) aren't stupid shooters

I know Xbots and players from the USA aren't aware that there are games that aren't CoD and Halo but it is like that and those games are actually really good.

Be honest - You would have cared if Halo or CoD would win it.
You say this now cause a Playstation or non shooter or a shooter with a Story-Game is winning it.
