Whitch Brand TV would be best for gaming.

Brand doesn't matter so much as model. The more you spend, the better it will be (usually).

Pretty much every brand has models that are very good for gaming and models that aren't as good for gaming. The brand isn't all that important so much as the specs and display type.

You want a very quick response time (no higher than 4ms), 120Hz or higher refresh rate, full 1080p resolution, as little input lag as possible, etc. Also, you'll need to choose whether you want an LCD or a Plasma. Plasma offers better picture quality, but you need to take good care of it to avoid burn-in, something you don't really have to worry about with an LCD.

Lots of complaints online about input lag in that model. I am trying to figure out if it is worth it.

This is never accurately measured. Any number you see is pure marketing. The unfortunate truth is, better displays will have better parts, i.e., you get what you pay for. An entry level display will perform worse than a flagship model in every aspect.

120Hz or higher refresh rate

Unnecessary. Panel refresh rate in and of itself has zero effect on your gaming.

full 1080p resolution

Depends on what you're going to use it for and your viewing situation. Cost may also be a factor. For many people, 720p sets will do the trick.

as little input lag as possible

This is subjective as not everyone experiences it the same way.

Plasma offers better picture quality, but you need to take good care of it to avoid burn-in, something you don't really have to worry about with an LCD.

Burn-in should never be a concern with modern panels.

There are only three hard and fast questions that must be answered before one goes display shopping:

Budget
Room conditions
Media usage

Everything else is fodder and will most assuredly set you down the wrong path.

Most of them are built in the same factory with the same specs and then has a label slapped on them. Just make sure you've heard of the brand, that's the important thing.
