It's really not. How do you figure? $460 for 4 gb xbox is absolutely horrendous when $100 for a 250gig bundle is the new 'sale' norm. It appeals to the same sort irresponsible buyer who buys into rent to own scams at horrible inflated places. A lot of people won't ever use kinect, either. --- "Nerd" and "gamer" have become the ultimate consumerist identity. Completely devoid of values outside of consumption without reflection.

And you only need gold to play online or use certain apps, and you get a free month of gold with a new account. Until you save up enough for more gold you can still download tons of demos free, or get free months of gold from bing, or just choose not to use gold at all. This "deal" is only for gullible suckers with more money than brains, or for rabid fanboys dumb enough to support M$ no matter how greedy they're being.
