How to transfer stuff from an older Xbox to an Xbox kinetic

#1Junomaster2006Posted 11/24/2012 10:07:18 AM
I'm gonna take advantage if the Cyber Monday. I have the older (2nd generation) arcade edition Xbox with a 120 GB I bought a while back. When I transfer from the 20 GB years ago, I did so using the tranfer cable. With the 250 GB kinetic Xbox, I'm not sure the hard drive is in the same shape. How do I transfer all my data, and recent arcade purchases into the Xbox Kinect version?

You can take apart your HDD and just insert it like the new HDD

The only issue I have with the link is that it tranfer from Xbox to another (same size) Xbox like an Xbox elite for example. The Xbox Kinect is slimmer.

Sorry I should have read your post better. At work and had to rush through it haha. So you want to take your data from your 120 gb arcade to your 250 gb slim correct? It should be the same process. Plug the usb end of your transfer cable into the Xbox slim as normal and your 120 gb hdd into the hdd slot. That is how I did mine. Is that what you are asking?

Never mind. I was able to find a video on YouTube. I guess the new xbox is called a slim Xbox and not the Kinect one.
