Magna Carta 2 had a very fun combat system.
Dark Souls was a blast to play.
Nier was a great game but the combat was boring.
Vesperia had a fun combat system, but the anime cliches were too much for me. I can tolerate them, but Vesperia went too far with it. In the end it wasn't worth playing through even with the battle system.
I didn't really found TOV more cliche than Magna Carta 2 --- I'm a gamer dang it, not a pc gamer or a console gamer, just a gamer.

divinity 2 the developers cut if you have a a decent PC. Don't know if they ever released the unf***ed version on consoles. Seriously a really great RPG no one played because it was really broken on launch. They have kept fixing it for 2 year now, the developers cut just came out not to long ago.
They did. It's renamed it "Divinity II: Dragon Knight Saga" and it comes with the DLC on the disc as well. The original version, D2: Ego Draconis was crap. --- A Jose Canseco bat? I agree with... Dark Souls Dragon's Dogma Dead Island
^ Great games with excellent combat. However, I disagree with Witcher 2....I just felt that the combat in that game was poopy.

Tales of Vesperia --- Achievement Unlocked Hail the Catastrophe 150(G) Become a Jenova Witness of your own free will.
Can someone do me favor and describe what makes Dark Souls combat so good? I'm in no way bashing the game because I obviously have yet to play it, but after watching numerous videos it looks sooooo slow and plodding. All I ever see is...*swing mace....block....swing mace....block...etc* . Compared to the high speed God of War feel that KoA had, I can't see anything about this combat that looks entertaining just from watching videos. However, maybe there's things about it I'm missing. Like I said, not ripping on the game, just looking for some clarification.
Dragon's Dogma does look interesting however. Combat seems faster paced and I've heard that bows and magic are well done which is usually how I prefer to fight. --- Blah.

Witcher 2 --- Is a hippopotamus really a hippopotamus or just a really cool opotamus?
